YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Police are looking into how a 3-year-old child got shot at a home in Yuma.

Authorities say officers responded Wednesday shortly before 2:30 a.m. to reports of a shot fired.

Police say they found the child with a single gunshot wound.

The child was taken to the hospital before being flown to a hospital in Phoenix with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they have interviewed everyone involved but the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities did not release further details.
