MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - High school teams from around Vermont are competing in the Vermont Treasury Cup Challenge.

The annual contest is aimed at promoting student interest in and knowledge of personal finance, economics, and consumer affairs.

Teams will be competing against each other in a quiz-show style contest on Friday at the Pavilion Building in Montpelier.

Prizes include $500 college savings accounts for each member of the winning team and $250 college savings accounts for each on the 2nd place team.

The championship round is planned for 3 p.m.
