CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A memorial service is set to honor fallen law enforcement officers in West Virginia.

The service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at the state Culture Center in Charleston.

The state Division of Justice and Community Service says the service will recognize 204 law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty in West Virginia.

West Virginia Military Affairs and Public Safety Secretary Joe Thornton will be the keynote speaker.

National Police Week starts Sunday.
