SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - The Shreveport Fire Department is holding another Smoke Alarm Giveaway.

On Saturday, fire department representatives and community partners will meet at Fire Station 8 to kick-off the giveaway, the second such program to be held.

Employees and community partners will install 200 10-year, tamper proof smoke alarms in homes. KSLA-TV (https://bit.ly/1RhsEY1 ) reports residents wanting a free smoke alarm or to get their current alarm serviced are urged to call the Fire Prevention Division at 318-673-6740.

The giveaway will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at 3406 Velva Street in Shreveport.
