CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - Jurors in the Colorado theater shooting trial are getting their first extended look inside gunman James Holmes’ booby-trapped apartment.

Prosecutors played a video Friday showing an array of homemade bombs, a trail of flammable powder on the carpet, a web of fuses and a panel with blinking red lights labeled “Launch Control.”

The video was shot by a robot because bomb squad commanders considered the explosives too dangerous to send officers into the apartment. The bombs were eventually defused.

Police have testified the bombs were meant to be a diversion while the theater attack was underway.

Holmes pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of killing 12 people and injuring 70 others in the July 2012 attack. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
