WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) - The arena where President Barack Obama will speak Friday is slowly filling up with family and friends of the soon-to-be graduates of Lake Area Technical Institute.

Three American and three South Dakota flags are posted behind the lectern along with the seal of the president of the United States.

Teresa Tufto, of Dawson, Minnesota, says she couldn’t sleep last night because of the excitement of seeing her son graduate and the president on the same day.

He was schedule to start his job in the oils fields of North Dakota in the upcoming days but postponed it to take part in the commencement ceremony and see the president.
