ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say operations at Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s North Terminal are returning to normal after a man was taken into custody and his laptop examined.

Airport spokesman Brian Lassaline said the partial evacuation was ordered about 3 p.m. Saturday after the man left the laptop at a ticket counter and made comments “that caused concern.” Lassaline says the laptop was “cleared” but the man is being held while authorities investigate.

Lassaline declined to offer additional details about the man or the investigation.

Security checkpoints started reopening about 4:30 p.m., and flights are resuming.

The terminal at the Romulus airport serves domestic flights other than those of or affiliated with Delta Air Lines, which operates a hub in the McNamara Terminal.
