YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A Yuma man’s birthday was far from celebratory Wednesday after a fire left him with no home and no car.

The Yuma Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1Pxyb96) that the fire, which happened to occur on Bill Borgman’s 75th birthday, has made Borgman’s home uninhabitable.

Borgman says his house has no access to electricity, water and gas. The fire also completely destroyed a front house where his 81-year-old roommate lives.

Both men were in San Diego for medical appointments at the time of the fire.

They have a five-night stay in a hotel through the American Red Cross.

But Borgman said Friday he’s not sure where they will go after that. Borgman says his closest family is in Colorado.

Yuma firefighters say the fire’s cause is still under investigation.
