HOUSTON (AP) - The owner of a Houston luxury car dealership has been fatally shot at his home in a slaying being investigated as a homicide.

Houston police on Friday identified the victim as 55-year-old Joseph John Stewart. He owned Stewart Cadillac.

Nobody has been arrested. Police are trying to determine a motive for the killing.

A neighbor called 911 late Thursday night after hearing gunshots. Houston police are seeking a man seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask who allegedly approached Stewart, opened fire and then fled.

The businessman was attacked after parking his SUV at his home and entering the garage.

Stewart a few weeks ago filed a police report about an attempted robbery at his home by three men who then fled.
