CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A mobile aquarium is making the rounds in West Virginia starting this weekend.

The Department of Environmental Protection planned to unveil the 1,700-gallon freshwater tank on wheels on Saturday at a bass fishing tournament along the Kanawha River in Charleston.

The DEP says some of the fish caught will be temporarily placed in the tank after being weighed in.

The aquarium also will be on display at North Bend State Park on May 15-17, at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley on June 15-17, and at Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park on Sept. 26 and 27.

The aquarium’s purpose is to teach the public about water quality and habitat.
