OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Horse racing fans can now take New Jersey Transit trains to Monmouth Park.

The service began Saturday and will continue through Sept. 27. It will operate on weekends and holidays when the track in Oceanport is open for live racing.

Friday rail service will begin June 5 and continue through Sept. 4.

Passengers who buy a round-trip package to the track from any New Jersey Transit rail station will also be able to get complimentary grandstand admission and an official track program for $1.

Tickets for this package must be purchased from a New Jersey Transit ticket vending machine or ticket office. It cannot be bought from train crew staff.
