DOVER, N.J. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman killed when she was struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Morris County.

But it’s still not clear why the woman was on the tracks when the accident occurred around 7 p.m. Friday in Dover.

NJ Transit says 54-year-old Karen Ryerson, of Roxbury, was struck just west of the Dover station by a Hoboken-bound Morris and Essex train.

None of the passengers or crew members aboard the train were hurt in the accident, which remains under investigation.
