CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati police say a police officer shot at a fleeing suspect during a chase after the suspect pulled out a gun.

Police say Demonte Watson had run from an officer following a traffic stop Saturday in the city’s Camp Washington section. Police say the 23-year-old pulled out a gun and the officer fired his weapon. The suspect was not hit.

Watson stumbled and police took him into custody. Police did not release further information.

Police say that Watson was in possession of two loaded guns. He was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and felonious assault and is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. WLWT reports Watson is wanted in connection with another shooting.

Police did not release the name of the officer.
