ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say a fight at an Albuquerque saloon has led to one person being stabbed but with the suspect in custody.

Police spokesman Fred Duran says employees at the Dirty Bourbon contacted authorities shortly after midnight to report a stabbing.

Duran says the stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with 10 lacerations and puncture wounds. However, the victim’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspect was carrying a knife when he left from the scene.

Duran says officers were later able to locate him and identified him as Jerrad Bowen.

Police say Bowen had disposed of the knife but was covered in blood.

Bowen has been booked on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.
