CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for the eastern half of Wyoming and the Wind River Range in the west-central part of the state.

Up to 2 feet snow could fall in the high mountains with as much as a foot in the eastern plains.

Casper, Cheyenne, Lander, Gillette, Douglas, Wheatland, Buffalo and Torrington are among the cities and towns included in the warning.

Snow fell in parts of western, central and southeast Wyoming on Saturday. It caused slick travel conditions in extreme southeast and east-central Wyoming near the Nebraska border.

The heaviest snowfall was expected Saturday night and into Sunday.
