CHESTER, N.J. (AP) - A fast-moving barn fire has killed 22 animals in northern New Jersey.

Chester police say the fire broke out around 7:20 a.m. Sunday at a Pottersville Road site. It appears that a heat lamp sparked the blaze, but authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

NJ.com (https://bit.ly/1iw7F6d) reports that three goats and nineteen chickens were killed in the fire, which destroyed the barn and damaged part of a fence.

It wasn’t clear if any people were in the barn when the fire began, but no injuries were reported.
