BEND, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say $17,000 in equipment has been stolen from a fire station in Oregon.

The Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/1kPHf0H ) that the Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire District Station 703 was burglarized Tuesday evening.

Someone took lifesaving and firefighting equipment from the station northeast of Sisters, including chainsaws, defibrillators, a thermal-imaging camera and GPS units.

The equipment was stolen between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, when there was no one in the station. The fire district has sent other equipment to the station so it can respond to emergencies.

Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
