BOSTON (AP) - Gov. Charlie Baker says he does not consider daily fantasy sports to be a form of gambling.

The Republican, responding to a reporter’s question, said he believes it’s a game of skill. He says he played a free game online to get a sense of what it was about.

The state’s Democratic attorney general, Maura Healey, is considering what rules and regulations for websites such as Boston-based DraftKings and FanDuel if they’re to continue operating in Massachusetts.

Healey said Wednesday she believes daily fantasy sports is a form of gambling, though not necessarily illegal gambling.

DraftKings and FanDuel are challenging the New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s order to stop taking bets in that state. He issued a decision that FanDuel and DraftKings are illegal gambling operations.
