ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a driver who rammed a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department deputy’s patrol car remains at large.

Deputies searched unsuccessfully Wednesday night for the suspect who fled on foot.

The incident occurred when a deputy saw a truck on the side of a road, pulled over and got out of his car to investigate.

The suspect then rammed the deputy’s vehicle before driving off.

Deputies pursued the truck and used a spike belt to disable the truck near Rio Bravo Boulevard and 118th Street.

The deputy whose car was hit was not injured, and investigators said the truck may have been stolen.
