MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot-based Trinity Health says it is no longer pursuing a partnership with Montana-based Billings Clinic RegionalCare.

The two parties signed a letter of intent in June and said they hoped to finalize the partnership by the end of the year. Trinity said Thursday that a deal was not reached and negotiations have ended. President and CEO John Kutch said Trinity would not be releasing details.

Trinity Health Board Chairman Pat Holien says Trinity still will move forward with plans to build a new medical campus in Minot.

The nonprofit Trinity Health system in northwestern North Dakota was founded in the 1920s. Billings Clinic RegionalCare is a joint venture between Montana-based Billings Clinic and RegionalCare Hospital Partners, a national hospital system.
