LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a small plane has crashed in northeastern Los Angeles County and two people on board have been injured.

Fire officials say the single-engine plane went down around 8 p.m. Thursday in Lake Hughes, near Lancaster.

The crash site is in a rugged area of the Angeles National Forest.

Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration says the Beechcraft BE36 had three people on board and was heading from Bakersfield to Fox Field in the Antelope Valley. It went down about 20 miles from its destination.

Fire officials say there was no fire. The pilot and a passenger received minor injuries.
