NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A Huntsville, Alabama, man has been sentenced in New Orleans to more than three years in prison on a federal firearms charge.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 22-year-old Britten Parsons was sentenced to 37 months on Thursday. He had earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy and transporting stolen firearms in interstate commerce.

Prosecutors said Parsons and two others transported nine stolen firearms from Alabama to Louisiana after the weapons were stolen during residence burglaries in Huntsville.
