KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - Offshore powerboat racers Bob Bull and Randy Scism have maintained CMS 3’s Superboat Unlimited class lead following the second of three racing days at the Key West World Championship off the Florida Keys.

Averaging 111.87 mph Friday, Bull of Melbourne and Scism of Wentzville, Missouri, easily outpaced all others in their class and have a solid lead entering Sunday’s final race.

In the Superboat class, WHM Motorsports moved into the top spot in the standings. Driver William Mauff of East Setauket, New York, and throttleman Jay Muller of Sallie River, New Jersey, surged ahead in the final lap to win with an average speed of 99.88 mph.

Hooters-Instigator, owned and throttled by Peter Meyer of Port Washington, New York, has the lead in the Superboat Extreme class.
