LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Delaware will extradite a 68-year-old suspect to Arkansas to face charges in a 1967 killing.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that James Leon Clay would be extradited after eight months of legal battles.

Clay faces an Arkansas warrant for first-degree murder in the shooting of 27-year-old James Ricks, whose skeletal remains were found in August 1967.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Clay has been picked up in Delaware and is expected to arrive at the Jackson County jail on Sunday.

Clay is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
