KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) - A Hudson Valley dentist accused of fatally poisoning his lover’s husband four years ago has been released from jail after posting a $1 million bond.

Ulster County Jail officials told the Daily Freeman of Kingston (https://bit.ly/1WQEtty ) that 48-year-old Gilberto Nunez, of Poughkeepsie, was released Thursday afternoon. Afterward he was fitted for a court-ordered GPS tracking device that he’ll wear on an ankle.

A county judge set bail for Nunez last week. He was charged last month with second-degree murder for allegedly killing 44-year-old Thomas Kolman, of Saugerties (SAW’-ger-teez), in late November 2011 with a fatal dose of a dental sedative.

Authorities say Nunez killed Kolman inside Kolman’s vehicle as it was parked in a shopping plaza outside Kingston.

The attorneys for Nunez have said he’s innocent of the charges.
