PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A 24-year-old driver who struck and injured three teens in a Gresham crosswalk while she was taking video of her son has been sentenced to five months in prison.

The Oregonian reports (https://goo.gl/UzNMk7 ) that Elizabeth Dove was sentenced Thursday for third-degree assault and reckless driving. She will serve 30 days beginning in December and the remaining 120 days in June, after she finishes her semester at community college.

Dove had been driving with her 3-year-old son in the back seat Jan. 15 when she slammed into the three teenage girls. Police say a search of the woman’s cellphone showed she was recording a video of her son at the time of the crash.

In court, Dove apologized to the teenagers, who are still suffering from their injuries.
