ELIZABETH, N.J. (AP) - A former high school music teacher and choir director has been sentenced to five years in prison for posing as a teen online to lure underage girls.

Arthur Ernst III was sentenced Friday in Union County. The 28-year-old Cranford resident pleaded guilty in June to manufacturing child pornography, promoting obscene material to a person under 18 and debauching the morals of a child under 16.

Ernst was a music teacher and choir director at Ocean Township when he was arrested in 2011.

He admitted he posed as a teen online to try and convince three members of his choir who were under 16 to send nude pictures.

Investigators also discovered Ernst posed as a teenage boy and convinced a 12-year-old Colorado girl to send a nude video of herself.
