INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Funeral services for late Indianapolis broadcaster and activist Amos C. Brown have been scheduled.

The public viewing is Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at World Christian Church. Services will be held on Saturday morning. Scheduled speakers include Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, U.S. Rep Andre Carson and former Gov. Mitch Daniels, who is the current president of Purdue University.

Brown died last week at his family home in Chicago. He was 64.

He hosted a talk show on WTLC. He was also was outspoken about social justice issues and was well known in the African American community.

He was heavily involved in community organizations and charities, including the United Negro College Fund, Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana Black Expo and the Indiana Education Roundtable.
