RUSTON, La. (AP) - Alex Hamilton had 16 points and 13 rebounds with five assists and five steals to lead Louisiana Tech past Millsaps 95-33 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Erik McCree had 17 points, Qiydar Davis finished with 15 and Derric Jean added 14 for the Bulldogs. Hamilton, McCree, Davis and Jean each made six field goals.

Louisiana Tech never trailed, and used a 47-9 run to end the first half and built a 60-15 halftime lead over the Division III school Majors.

The Bulldogs finished 13 of 19 from the free-throw line and shot 50 percent on 37-of-74 shooting from the floor.

Quinn Atkinson led the Majors with eight points on 4-of-10 shooting. Logan Mancuso grabbed eight rebounds but did not score.

Louisiana Tech has won 31-straight games at the Thomas Assembly Center.
