BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A 28-year-old man has admitted to raping a 7-Eleven clerk in the back room of the Buffalo convenience store.

Michael Sanchez pleaded guilty Thursday to rape, sexual assault and robbery in the February incident.

Prosecutors say Sanchez threatened the 20-year-old clerk with a gun, forced her in the back room of the store and raped her. They say he also took money from the store’s register and the clerk.

He was arrested just blocks from the store after a newspaper deliveryman located the victim crying.

Sanchez is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 13.
