CINCINNATI (AP) - A 19-year-old Indiana man is getting one year of probation and has been ordered to perform 100 hours of community service for running onto the field during a Cincinnati Reds home game in July.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (https://cin.ci/1O675Ye ) Justin Buchanan was sentenced Thursday in Hamilton County Municipal Court. The Noblesville, Indiana, man pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal trespassing in the July 22 incident.

Police say Buchanan entered the field at Great American Ballpark during the eighth inning of a game against the Chicago Cubs. He recorded himself on his cellphone as he ran across the field. He then scaled a 10-foot fence before sprinting out of the stadium.

Buchanan previously said he turned himself in to authorities and was withholding further comment until the case is fully resolved.
