OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi placed four players in double figures Friday night, highlighted by a career-high 29 points from Stefan Moody, to defeat Northwestern State 90-76 in a season opener.

Sebastian Saiz scored 16 points and added a career-high 14 rebounds for the Rebels, who never trailed and led 38-32 at halftime. Sam Finley and Rasheed Brooks scored 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Northwestern State was led by Jalen West with 25 points, 24 in the second half, and added six assists. Zeke Woodley added 22 for the Demons, who missed 13 consecutive shots in the opening six minutes and finished 25 of 70 (35.7 percent) from the field.

Ole Miss shot 29 of 61 (47.5 percent) from the field and 24 of 28 (85.7 percent) from the free-throw line. The Rebels outrebounded the Demons 44-36 and had only four turnovers in the second half.
