NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A 44-year-old homeowner is being held on a murder charge after a shooting that fatally wounded an acquaintance in the garage of his North Las Vegas home.

Records showed that Mark Lenard Cadwallader was being held Friday at the Las Vegas City Jail pending an initial court appearance in the Wednesday slaying of 45-year-old Richard David Gogo Jr.

The Clark County coroner says Gogo died at University Medical Center of multiple gunshot wounds after the 4:30 p.m. shooting at a home on Glowing Garnet Street. That’s near North Bruce Street and East Lone Mountain Road.

Police say the two men knew each other and the shooting wasn’t a random act. A motive wasn’t disclosed.

Police say another man was inside the home, but wasn’t involved or injured in the shooting.
