TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities have identified a man who died after a house fire in the Tucson area.

The fire occurred Friday morning in a residential area on Tucson’s southwest side.

County sheriff’s officials identified the man who died as 41-year-old Robert Michael Rodriguez.

Drexel Heights Fire District crews responded to a call from a neighbor reporting a fire in the home’s garage and hearing a trapped person screaming for help.

Crews got the person out, but he died at a hospital.

The home sustained severe smoke and heat damage.
