TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a suspect is in custody for allegedly killing a 73-year-old man and assaulting a 56-year-old woman in a midtown Tucson home.

Tucson police say 19-year-old Malick Fuller has been booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery.

Police say the unidentified and woman were sitting in their home when Fuller allegedly entered through an unlocked door around 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Fuller allegedly assaulted the two victims while demanding money from them.

They say the man was taken to a hospital and died early Friday from his injuries.

Police say the woman suffered serious injuries.

It was unclear Friday if Fuller has an attorney yet.
