WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say a double decker tour bus burst into flames near George Washington University.

Firefighters responded to the fire Thursday afternoon. Officials say the bus was unoccupied by the time firefighters arrived. Fire department spokesman Tim Wilson says no one was injured.

Wilson says it took officials about 45 minutes to extinguish the fire. He noted that the fire did not spread to nearby vehicles.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
