MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police say a customer in a convenience store helped two clerks restrain a man who picked up a bottle of wine and tried to leave without paying.

Police said the man with the wine pushed two female clerks at The Gulf Express in Manchester at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday when told to put the bottle back.

They said a 27-year-old man identified as Coin O’Neil of Manchester was inside the store and saw what happened. He grabbed hold of the suspect and restrained him until police arrived.

Police later arrested 29-year-old Justin Small of Manchester on a robbery charge. He faced arraignment Friday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer and a phone number was not listed for him.
