ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A Rock Springs man is headed to district court in the death of his 4-month-old daughter as a judge has ruled the prosecution has met the burden of proof.

The Rock Springs Rocket-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1Ms31id ) that 27-year-old Jacob Triplett was bound over to district court at a preliminary hearing Thursday. His bond was set at $1 million.

Triplett is charged with first-degree murder of his 4-month-old daughter Susan Triplett, child abuse and aggravated child abuse. His wife has pleaded no contest to reduced charges.

According to police, one of the couple’s twin daughters died on Sept. 17, 2014 after being taken to a hospital where doctors found the baby had broken ribs, was malnourished and was brain-dead.

They say the other twin baby and two other children also were malnourished and had signs of abuse.
