DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - A woman who had hoped to settle her family in the Detroit area was among the dozens of victims killed in bombings in Lebanon.

Leila Mazloum was a U.S. permanent resident who had moved to Dearborn in the past year. Her sister says she was back in Beirut with family when she was killed Thursday.

Khawla (KOW’-la) Mazloum says her 49-year-old sister was married with children. She says Leila was shopping when the bombings occurred in a Beirut suburb. A daughter was mildly injured.

Burial is planned in Lebanon, but a service will also be held in Dearborn on Nov. 22.

Schools and universities across Lebanon were closed Friday as the country mourned victims of the twin suicide bombings.
