LAS VEGAS (AP) - Dozens of veterans are in Las Vegas for a free VIP weekend on the Strip.

MGM Resorts International said it is hosting 70 wounded veterans and their guests and family members from around the country for a five-day stay on the Las Vegas Strip.

The veterans will be treated to a welcome dinner plus several entertainment opportunities, including skydiving, helicopter tours, the Terry Fator ventriloquist show, Cirque du Soleil’s “O” show and a concert by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.

The veterans come from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.

They are coming on a chartered flight provided by American Airlines.

MGM is providing the hotel, amenities, meals and entertainment.
