RENO, Nev. (AP) - A youth basketball coach in Reno has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun at a juvenile near a middle school.

Reno police say 25-year-old Omarri Calvin Jeron Williams was booked Thursday night on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property.

Police say Williams allegedly grabbed his gun out of his car and shot at a 17-year-old juvenile near Traner Middle School after he was alerted that someone had broken the windows of the car parked in front of the school.

Police Lt. Shaw says a bullet struck a nearby residence but no one was hurt. He says surveillance tape shows the 17-year-old wasn’t responsible for breaking the car windows.
