VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota cheerleader will attempt to put on 32 T-shirts in one minute in a world record attempt benefiting a statewide group fighting hunger.

During the third quarter of Saturday’s football game between South Dakota and South Dakota State, the Coyote cheerleader will attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records mark of 31 shirts.

The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council will donate $100 to Feeding South Dakota for each T-shirt the cheerleader is able to put on.

Both universities are also raising money for the charity by providing collection boxes at First Bank & Trust locations in Vermillion and Brookings.

South Dakota Corn sponsors the annual South Dakota Showdown Series, which awards points to victories in a total of 17 men’s and women’s sports.
