FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A family-owned store in Fargo that has more than 135 years of history in North Dakota is closing up shop.

KVRR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1MOY9D8) that the owners of Straus Clothing, a company with roots in the state back to 1879, are retiring.

The store bills itself as the oldest family-owned retail business in North Dakota.

Owners Rick and John Stern say family from Minnesota and California are coming to help with a liquidation sale.

John Stern says they’re too old to change.

The men decided several years ago against renewing their lease, which ends this year.
