MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot is hosting a Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase this weekend.

State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says more than 100 vendors are expected to have booths at the State Fair Center on the State Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll be displaying various goods from food to jewelry.

Admission is $2 per adult. Shoppers who bring a reusable cloth bag and members of the military get in for $1.

Retailers also can get $1 off admission by showing their sales tax license at the door. Goehring says it’s an opportunity for retailers to buy a few items to try in their store before establishing a wholesale order.

More than 500 companies are members of the Agriculture Department’s Pride of Dakota branding program.
