LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The next Sunday with a Scientist program in Lincoln will focus on veterinary medicine.

Visitors to the University of Nebraska State Museum on Sunday will get to experience what it’s like to provide medical care to animals. The event is set to run from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Morrill Hall, south of 14th and Vine streets.

Veterinarians, scientists and veterinary students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will teach visitors how to conduct basic examinations, using stethoscopes. Skeletons of a house cat and leopard will be examined to see the similarities, and visitors also will be able to play a game that tests their potential surgical skills.

Go online to https://www.museum.unl.edu for more information about the program.
