HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - The University of Connecticut says 17 of its students studying aboard in Paris this semester are all safe following the deadly attacks on the city.

Stephanie Reitz, a spokeswoman for the university, said Saturday that 12 undergraduates and one faculty member who are participating in a study aboard program in Paris at the time of the attacks are “all safe and accounted for.”

Also, she said four undergraduates and one graduate student from UConn who have been visiting Paris are safe.

She said UConn is in the process of determining how many of its students now studying in Connecticut are French natives. She said the school plans to reach out to them and offer support on campus.

At least 127 people died in Friday night’s gun-and-bombing rampages in Paris.
