CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A stretch of Wyoming 130 over the Snowy Range in southeast Wyoming is now closed for the winter.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation says limited visibility and snowfall this week prompted the agency to shut the road down Thursday.

The highway runs between Laramie and Saratoga. Only the portion over the highest areas of Snowy Range is closed.

Wyoming 70 over Battle Pass in the Sierra Madre Mountains remains open although it typically closes soon after Wyoming 130 is closed.

U.S. 212 over Beartooth Pass in northwest Wyoming closed earlier this fall.
