STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - Staunton has completed a $589,000 renovation of Lake Tams at Gypsy Hill Park.

The work included stabilizing the lake’s shoreline, installing an asphalt walking path and creating a small pool called a sediment forebay to trap sediment.

The News Leader (https://bit.ly/20UU3nA ) reports that work on the project began in mid-May and was completed on Thursday with the stocking of rainbow trout.

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality provided a $200,000 matching grant for the project.
