TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say they have arrested a suspect in a June hit-and-run that resulted in a man’s death.

Police spokeswoman Kimberly Bay says 30-year-old Stephenie Schneider was booked Friday into Pima County Jail on charges of manslaughter and hit-and-run involving death.

Authorities say 33-year-old Jonathan Potts and his two teenage sons were heading northbound on Houghton Road near Escalante Road the night of June 28 when Potts pulled their vehicle over.

According to investigators, Potts was struck by another vehicle while standing by the roadway.

Witnesses say the driver never stopped and fled the scene.

Potts was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries a week later.

It was not known Sunday if Schneider had an attorney.
