JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Jackson investigators are looking for answers after a man’s body was found near train tracks.

Jackson Police Department spokeswoman Colendula Green says a train inspector found the body about 10 a.m. Monday near Highway 80 and Gallatin Street.

Multiple media reports Green says the victim was hit by a train. It’s unclear when though.

She says the last train to go through the aera was around 2 a.m. Monday.

The victim’s name has not been released.
